MMFX Steel Corporation has introduced its uncoated corrosion-resistant and high-strength reinforcing steel, MMFX2, into Chile, as its first entry into the South American markets. MMFX is working with Broom Group S.A. to expand sales of its advanced MMFX2 reinforcing steel products into the region.

Corrosion is a significant problem in Chile, given the country’s expansive coastal marine environment. Additionally, the Chilean mining industry, which is the second-largest industry in Chile, is actively searching for technologies like MMFX2 reinforcing steel to help resolve the industry’s unique corrosion challenges.
