Opening Sat., May 11th, Dollywoods Splash Country will then be open on weekends until daily operation begins Memorial Day Weekend on May 25th (Sat.)
RiverRush combines all of the powerful climbs, plunging drops, thrilling twists and razor-sharp turns of a traditional land coaster for the very latest in jaw-dropping waterpark experiences:
Propelled by a high-speed conveyor belt, RiverRushs four-person toboggan-style boats climb 237 feet in preparation for a plunging 25-foot, 45-degree drop just like a roller coaster! World Steel Tube Editing
Standing four stories tall, RiverRushs smooth, jolt-free tube track takes riders past the trees as it navigates three additional drops powered by hydro magnetic drive motors.
What follows is a thrilling combination of multiple hairpin turns and dark tunnels, all accompanied by rushing water.
The track covers more than an acre in a newly developed area near the parks Big Bear Plunge white water rafting inspired slide. Spanning 1,175 feet, its just one foot less than New York's tallest building, One World Trade Center.
At Dollywood, the annual Barbecue & Bluegrass festival returns May 25-June 9 before the parks Great American Summer June 22-Aug. 4. Its six weeks of extended park hours from 10am-10pm daily, and a nightly musical fireworks extravaganza, Dollys Nights of Many Colors.
